Why is America football(Rugby) different from soccer?

The main difference between American football and regular football is that, in American football a player is allowed to run with the ball in his hands.Unlike regular football the playing hour last for one hour and is divided into four, fifteen minutes quarters.Another difference is that scoring is done by 'touch downs'in which a player runs into the opponent's end zone with the ball or passes it to a teammate in the opponent's end zone. After touch downs extra points can be scored by kicking the abll through the goal posts.America football is violent in which every part of the body can be attacked by the opponents and so the two teams of 11 players each pad up as though they are going to war!

STAR FACT
Jonny Wilkinsson, an English rugby fly-half,is the leading scorer in the World Cup matches. He is the one who scored the greatest number of points -1099 points in 75 matches,in a rugby union international carrier.
