How is football played?

Football is played by two teams of eleven members each and a game is divided into two halves of 45 minutes each.To begin with, the ball is placed on the centre of the field, and kicked off by a member of one of the teams. Each team then attempts to kick the ball into the opposite team's goal. The winning team is the one who scored the most goal after 90 minutes.
If both teams have scored the same number of goals ,the game is a draw.Sometimes when a game is drawn, thhe winner is decided during 'extra time' that is alloted, followed by a penalty shoot out.A penalty shoot out is atense situation in which each team will be given five penalty kicks alternatively. If one team is not ahead on goals after these five kicks,, the teams proceed to a 'sudden death' and the one who misses the goal first, loses the game.Believe me , this leads to a nail bitting finish!
